What blinds does Woodhaus sell?
Woodhaus specialises in made-to-measure 50mm Venetian blinds. Bali, Chalk, Charcoal, Cotton, Fossil, Frost, Java, Limestone, Mineral, Oak, Opal and Sterling are faux wood. Ebony is genuine basswood.
What is the difference between faux wood and genuine wood?
Faux wood blinds are durable, moisture resistant and easy to wipe clean, making them suitable for busy rooms, kitchens and bathrooms. Genuine basswood offers natural grain and a lightweight premium wooden finish; it should be kept away from excessive moisture.
Are the blinds made to measure?
Yes. Each blind is made using the width and drop selected when you order. Follow our Measurement Guide and double-check your measurements before purchasing.
What slat size is available?
Our featured range uses wide 50mm slats for a clean appearance and flexible control of light and privacy.
How long does delivery take?
Delivery is normally within 3–5 working days from order confirmation. Working days exclude weekends and UK bank holidays.
What guarantee is included?
Every Woodhaus blind is covered by our 1-year product guarantee. This is in addition to your statutory rights.
Can made-to-measure blinds be returned?
Custom-made blinds cannot normally be returned because of a change of mind, unsuitable colour choice or incorrect customer measurements. Faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied goods remain covered by your legal rights. Read our Delivery & Returns page before ordering.
What if my window recess is bowed?
Measure the width and drop in three places. For a recess fit, use the smallest measurement so the blind can operate without catching.
How should I clean my blind?
Dust all blinds regularly with a soft cloth or duster. Faux wood slats may be wiped with a lightly damp cloth and dried afterwards. Keep genuine basswood as dry as possible and never soak the slats.

How do I measure my windows?

What happens if I measure incorrectly?
As every blind is made specifically for your order, we recommend checking all measurements carefully before purchasing. If you’re unsure, please contact us before ordering and we’ll be happy to guide you.
Should I measure in centimetres or millimetres?
We recommend measuring in millimetres (mm) as this provides the greatest accuracy. Always measure each window individually, even if they appear to be the same size.
Do I need to allow for any deductions?
No. Simply enter the exact measurements requested on the product page. We will make any necessary manufacturing deductions where required.

What are Venetian blinds?
Venetian blinds feature horizontal slats that can be tilted to control light and privacy or raised completely to expose the window. They’re a timeless choice suitable for almost any room in the home.
Are Venetian blinds suitable for kitchens and bathrooms?
Yes. Our Venetian blinds are moisture resistant and are ideal for kitchens, bathrooms and utility rooms where durability is important.
Can I control the amount of light?
Absolutely. The slats can be tilted to allow in as much or as little light as you like whilst maintaining your privacy.
Are Venetian blinds easy to clean?
Yes. Simply dust regularly with a soft cloth or microfibre duster. For deeper cleaning, wipe each slat gently with a slightly damp cloth.
Perfect Fit Blinds
What are Perfect Fit blinds?
Perfect Fit blinds are fitted inside a stylish frame which clips directly onto many uPVC windows and doors without drilling or screwing into the frame. This creates a clean, modern appearance with no damage to your windows.
Do Perfect Fit blinds require drilling?
No. One of the biggest advantages of Perfect Fit blinds is that they are installed without drilling or screws on compatible windows.
Which windows are Perfect Fit blinds suitable for?
Perfect Fit blinds are designed for many modern uPVC windows and doors that have a rubber glazing bead. If you’re unsure whether your windows are suitable, please contact us before ordering.
Can Perfect Fit blinds be fitted to doors?
Yes. Perfect Fit blinds are particularly popular on patio doors, French doors and conservatory doors because the blind moves with the door when opened and closed.
Will Perfect Fit blinds stop my windows opening?
No. When correctly installed, your windows and doors can still be opened and closed normally.

Yes. We recommend ordering samples before purchasing so you can compare colours and finishes in your own home under natural lighting.
Can I change my order after placing it?
If production has not yet started, we may be able to amend your order. Please contact us as soon as possible after ordering.

As all blinds are made to your exact measurements, orders cannot usually be cancelled once manufacturing has begun. Please double-check your measurements and order details before completing your purchase.

Do you deliver throughout the UK?
Yes. We deliver to most mainland UK addresses. If you’re located in the Highlands, Islands or Northern Ireland, additional delivery charges or longer delivery times may apply.
